Alpha Delta Kappa - Theta Chapter Juliet Thorner Award Applicant must be a female graduate from a junior high or middle school in the Bakersfield City School District. A

completed application, personal essay, letter of recommendation and a transcript is required. Financial need is not a consideration for this award.


Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Kappa Omega Chapter Book Scholarship Applicants must live in Kern County, be African American and be planning on attending a university, community college, vocational school or the military. A completed application, personal essay, official transcript and two sealed letters of recommendation are required.


American Society of Civil Engineers The ASCE Scholarships have been established to assist promising students in the Civil Engineering Field to further their education and

attain their career goals. Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA to apply. Must also include community activities, statement of need and educational purpose.


Amy B. Seibert Elementary School Applicant must have attended Seibert Elementary during their entire fifth and sixth grade years. Scholarship winner(s) will be asked to speak at Seibert's year-end assembly.


Assistance League of Bakersfield Applicant must be entering a two year community college or four year college/university. Student must have a 3.0 GPA, financial need, community involvement and be a resident of Kern County. FAFSA and SAR report must be completed.


Augustine Family Scholarship This scholarship is a renewable $1,000/year scholarship meant specifically for high-achieving low-income students who, without financial aid, might otherwise be unable to attend the 4-year college/university of their choice.


Bakersfield Chinese Women's Club Applicant must be of Chinese descent. Complete application, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and include a 200 word essay. Extracurricular activities, community services and family need will be considered.


Bakersfield College New Car Dealers Association Incoming Freshman College Scholarship Applicant must type a statement of 200-300 words indicating educational plans and career goals, community and school involvement, need for scholarship assistance and any special circumstances.


Bill Dolan Kern County Law Enforcement Foundation Scholarship Applicant must be planning to enroll as a first year, full-time student at an accredited college or university in a law enforcement or criminal justice related program. Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA and have lived in Kern County for the past five years. 


Budd Ray Memorial Scholarship Applicant must be the child or grandchild of a veteran or active duty military member. A completed application along with five brief questions is required. Award is a one-time $500.00 scholarship.


California Association of Wine Grape Growers Foundation Students must have a parent or guardian employed by a CA vineyard during the 2017-2018 wine growing season to apply. Be graduating and planning to attend a University of CA, CSU or a community college. For students to be eligible and remain eligible for this scholarship, you must be enrolled in 12 or more units per semester with satisfactory grades while attending college. 
California Chapter Women In Mining Scholarship Applicant must possess a commitment to obtain an education leading to a degree through a course of study related to mining, geology, engineering or environmental studies. Applicant must currently maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA. The scholarship shall be applied toward the cost of tuition and/or course expenses as selected by the recipient, the amount not to exceed the scholarship grant.
California School Administrators Association To qualify for this scholarship at least one of the parents of the applying student must be an ACSA member. A completed application, transcript and letters of recommendation are required.
CSEA "State" Scholarship Scholarships are awarded to CSEA member dependents based on academic achievements, character, leadership and extra-curricular activities within the community. Applicant must have at least one parent or guardian who is a member in good standing of CSEA and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
California Table Grape Agricultural Scholarship To be eligible, you must be a 2018 graduate residing in the California San Joaquin valley table grape growing region. You must be planning to pursue a four-year undergraduate degree in a field of study pertinent to table grapes. Examples include soil science, plant pathology, entomology, sustainable agriculture and food systems, genetics and plant biology, agricultural education, agricultural communication, agricultural business, agricultural marketing, horticulture and crop science, botany and plant pathology, agricultural policy, international marketing, food science, and technology.
California Table Grape Field Worker Scholarship To be eligible, you must have had a parent or a legal guardian be employed as a field worker in a California table grape vineyard during the 2017 season or plan to be so employed during the 2018 season. Applicants must be high school seniors graduating in 2018. A completed application, transcript, essay, list of honors or awards and two letters of recommendation are required.  Up to three $3,500 scholarships are available.
Caltrans2018 District 6/Central Region Employee Family Scholarship Students must be related to a current, former or retired Caltrans District 6 employee. Planning to attend a university/college/junior college or trade school to pursue a career in a transportation related field. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or better. Applications will have the opportunity to be selected for a $1,000 or a $2,000 scholarship.
Caltrans 2018 District 6/Central Region Transportation Scholarship This scholarship is for students who are entering a college/university/junior college or trade school and are planning to major in a transportation related field: Accounting, Anthropology, Archaeology, Animal or Plant Biology, Business administration, Communications, Construction, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Science, Equipment Operations, Graphic Design, Human Resource, Information Technology, Landscape Architecture, Legal Planning, Project Management, Real Estate, and Surveying. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or better to apply. Applicants will have the opportunity to be selected for a $1,000 or a $2,000 scholarship.
Centennial High School Staff Club Scholarship Applicant must be interested in entering the field of education and be planning on either attending Bakersfield College or Cal State Bakersfield. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. A two to four hundred word essay on why you want to enter the field of education must be included. 
Chief Steve Alvidrez Scholarship Applicant must be interested in pursuing a career in criminal justice. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required, must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. legal permanent resident and be enrolled in a four year criminal justice degree program. An essay (500 words of less), resume listing your education and experience and high school transcript is required.
Contreras Scholarship Foundation This scholarship is a one-time award offering educational assistance for graduating seniors. GPA must be between a 2.5-3.5 no higher. Student must have financial need. Each student must demonstrate a high degree of motivation and the desire to achieve their academic goals.
Corti Family Agricultural Scholarship Applicant must have an Agricultural or Agriculture-related major. Preference is given to applicants interested in raising stock, farming, and soil conservation. Minimum GPA of 2.0. Apply online at WWW.CSASCHOLARS.ORG.
Darden Architects Student Scholarship This Scholarship Program aims to recognize, support and encourage students interested in the Architectural Profession from the California San Joaquin Valley. Annually, Darden Architects, accepts and reviews applications with the intent of giving a scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 to a qualified candidate(s). The scholarship is only offered to a high school senior planning on attending Cal Poly SLO, and majoring in Architecture.
Democratic Women of Kern Applicant must be a graduating female senior who is either a registered Democrat and will be enrolling in an accredited college or trade school in the fall of 2018. Applicant must have a GPA of 2.5 or above.
Fred Pierucci Scholarship for Architecture and Planning To qualify you must be a graduating senior from CHS who intends to attend college in the Fall 2018 and who demonstrates an interest in studying architecture, planning, or a related field. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage early awareness of graduate level education and to promote careers in the built environment that improve the lives of people and communities through policy and design. To apply, please submit a personal statement (maximum 500 words) and one letter of recommendation. Return to Ms. Hayes in the Career Center.
Grimmway Enterprises, Inc. 2018 College Scholarship The families of Rod & Bob Grimm sponsor this Scholarship Program for the children of employees of Grimmway Enterprises, Inc. The goal of the program is to encourage employees' children to attend a college or university and earn a college degree. Amount of award varies with renewals and upgrades. The maximum reward can be a $10,000 college scholarship and a computer.
Harvey and Laura Brockmeyer Kiwanis Scholarship Applicant must have been a member of a Future Farmer Chapter, Key Club of a County High School or the child or grandchild of a Kern County Kiwanian. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Applicants will be evaluated on: statement of goals, leadership to school and community, financial statement and counselor/teacher evaluation. Scholarship award is $4000; $1,000 a year for four years.
Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship Program Applicant must be planning on enrolling in a 2-year or less career or technical degree/certificate program in the Fall 2018. Howard & Mamie Nichols Scholarship Applicants must have reasonably adequate skill, talent, or intellectual capacity and emotional stability to attain his or her objective. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Apply online at WWW.CSASCHOLARS.ORG. 
India Association of San Joaquin Valley Financial Aid Scholarship Applicant must be of Indian origin. College acceptance letter is required by May 5th.
India Association of San Joaquin Valley Merit Scholarship Applicant must be of Indian origin with IASJV Family Membership for the last 2 years.
Italian Catholic Federation Applicant must be a Roman Catholic of Italian descent who has a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2. You may also qualify if either Roman Catholic parent is a member of the Italian Catholic Federation. Applicants will be evaluated on: scholastic achievement, financial need, leadership role, extracurricular activities and charitable efforts. First year scholarship is $400.
Juan Arrache, Jr. Memorial Trust Fund Applicant must be a KCHS senior in good standing. A type-written essay between five and seven hundred fifty words on the subject of honesty, integrity and courage, The words must come from the heart. Award amount is $2,000 to be used any way you wish. Return to Ms. Hayes in the Career Center.
Laurelglen School Parent Club Scholarship The parent club is awarding two $500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors that plan to continue their education. The recipients must have attended Laurelglen Elementary School for their sixth grade year.
Lincoln Day Essay Contest 2018 Applicant must write a 500 word essay on a current issue that has either a local or national impact and explain how Abraham Lincoln would deal with the issues if he were president today. First, second, and third place winners will be presented with scholarships of $2,000, $1,000, and $750 at the annual Kern County Lincoln Day Dinner.
Kern Association of Educational Office Professionals This scholarship is for a senior who plans to attend college and major in Business or a Business related field. An official school transcript, two letters of recommendation from high school and a short biography highlighting extra-curricular activities and detailing your future plans.
Kern County Wool Growers Auxiliary The Bo-Peeps Scholarship Program Applicant must be planning to pursue the study of agriculture or an agriculture related field. Must have maintained a 3.0 GPA sophomore through senior years. An essay of no more than 1500 words is required. Award amount is $1,000.  
Kern High School Teachers for Student Achievement KHSTSA will award academic and vocational scholarship to students of need in Kern County. Ten or more, $500 scholarships will be awarded to seniors who plan to attend a trade or vocational school, college, or university in the fall of 2018 can apply.
Martha "Marti" Ortiz Memorial Scholarship This monetary award is given in memory of Martha Ortiz, a dedicated counselor, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. It is designed to help graduating seniors continue their education and build a brighter future; which was Martha's goal for all students. This scholarship will provide $300.00 to a deserving student or students. Applicant must have a 2.5 overall GPA, be college bound and have an interest/participation in athletics and/or performing arts. A one to two page essay is required. Marti was a beloved counselor here at Centennial.
McGregor Scholarship Applicant must be a KHSD student who has had a major interest in the field of music and plans to study music in college. Transcript, statement
 regarding extra-curricular activities, self statement or goals and letters of recommendation are required. Award amount is $100 - $1,000. Return to Ms. Hayes in the Career Center.
Michael R. Mettler Memorial Scholarship Applicant must be planning to study agriculture or agriculture-related major. Students majoring in veterinary studies will only be considered if their concentration is in large animal husbandry.
MOAA Military Officers Association of America Bakersfield Chapter Applicant must be in a JROTC Program or be a son, daughter or grandchild of a military active duty member or an honorably discharged military veteran (can be deceased). This year there will be (3) $1,000 scholarships awarded to outstanding seniors to attend a four year college, two year junior college or a certified vocational school.
Moose Scholarship Sponsored by the Stockdale Moose Lodge 32178 and Women of the Moose Chapter #1203. This scholarship is an incentive for the youth in our area to volunteer and contribute to bettering their local community. Applicant should not only have a 3.25 GPA but have also demonstrated leadership skills that involve extra-curricular activities, community service, volunteerism, and have an innate desire to help others. Completed application, transcript, two letters or recommendation, essay and proof of full-time enrollment is required.
Nelson Family & 999 Foundations - Officer David Nelson Memorial Scholarship This award is for graduating seniors who have demonstrated outstanding effort in academics,
community service and athletics. Using David's achievements as a role model in their growth and career choice: "To Protect and Serve". Applicants must have applied, or about to apply for admission to an accredited college or university, as a fully matriculated student to pursue a two or four year degree in a Public Service field ( law enforcement, fire, etc) of study.
Norris Middle School Scholarship For graduating seniors who are also graduates of Norris Middle School. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA  and have extra-curricular involvement at both NMS and Centennial. A 250-1000 word essay and a transcript is required. 
North of the River Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Applicants must be college bound seniors from Centennial, North, Liberty and Frontier High Schools. Applicant must apply online.
Omni Family Health Scholarship Applicant must have an interest in the health care profession. Must be a current year high school graduate, with a cumulative 3.5 GPA or higher for grades 9-12. Sealed letters of recommendation from at least 3 teachers or administrators is required. Up to 10 awards of $1,000 will be distributed. Return to Ms. Hayes in the Career Center. 
Pierucci Family Economics Scholarship This award is for a CHS senior planning on attending college in the fall, who has an interest in the study of economics. Must submit a short essay of 500 words and one letter of recommendation.
P.E.O. Chapter OU 2018 Scholarship The mission of P.E.O. is to promote educational opportunities for women. Applicants must be female and reside in Kern County. A minimum GPA of 3.5 is required.
Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Scholarship Award Fund The St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Family has funded ten awards @ $500 each for graduating seniors who are members of St. Elizabeth's. Applicant must meet eligibility requirements and be planning on attending a Junior College, University, Vocational School or joining the Military.
State Council Cabrillo Civic Clubs of California, Inc. Applicants must be of Portuguese descent and be a US citizen or permanent resident. Must have maintained a minimum 3.5 GPA for 9-12 grades and be a graduating senior of a CA high school. Three letters of recommendation and three extra-curricular activities participated in while in high school must be included.
Sun Pacific Scholarships Dependents of full-time Sun Pacific employees, graduating from high school in 2018 are eligible to apply for a scholarship to assist in their pursuit of a college education.
Talons Scholarship This scholarship is for senior students who have been active 3 or more years in Centennial's Band, Color Guard, or Orchestra and have a minimum 3.0 GPA for the last three years.
The 2018 Julie Zisk "Forever Golden Hawks" Scholarship  Applicant must intend to pursue a career in some field of teaching, including elementary, secondary, college, or vocational education. "Field of teaching" may also include specialized preparation in art, music, vocal performance, dance, counseling, or library science. Applicant must include a printed copy of a 600-750 word commencement speech on the theme of "Forever Golden Hawks." The speech should be suitable for presentation at a Centennial High School graduation ceremony, although actual presentation of the speech is not required. Scholarship award is $1,000.
The Kern County Science Foundation Scholarship Applicants must have participated in at least one Kern County Regional (or equivalent) Science Fair during their high school years, have a 3.5 GPA and have a special interest in science, mathematics, engineering or a related field. Applicant should have a science or mathematics (or related) major in college.
The Patricia Jean Foundation Memorial Scholarship Applicants must have 50 hours of community service during their high school experience. A minimum 2.5 GPA is also required.
The Woman’s Club of Bakersfield Student Scholarship 2017-2018 Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 along with community, extracurricular and volunteer activities. The application must contain a brief essay of goals and objectives and two recommendations. Applicant must be a resident of Kern County and be a citizen of the U.S. Scholarship award is $1,000 for the 2018 Fall Semester.
Thelma Rae Self Music Scholarship Students will be chosen on the basis of need and musical promise. A self-statement of goals: two letters of recommendation (must include music teacher and counselor or administrator) and a copy of your transcript. Award amount is $100-$1,000. Thomas Midnight Pewitt Memorial Scholarship 2018 The purpose of the "Thomas Midnight Pewitt Memorial Scholarship" is to encourage High School Seniors who have been involved in sports and agriculture to continue with their education. Applicant must be planning on attending a two or four-year college or equivalent. Must demonstrate good moral character and a commitment to community service. $1,000 dollar scholarships provided upon receiving award.
