GENERAL 

  • Attention students, after-school math tutoring is in the library from 2:45 to 3:45. Math Tutoring will be available every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
  • Do you want to attend West Point, Annapolis or another academy? Attend the information meeting on September 23, with congressman Kevin McCarthy. The counseling dept has more information.
  • Juniors. Want to qualify for scholarships and practice for the SAT? The PSAT will be given on Wednesday Oct. 11. Sign up now! Cost is $20, pay in finance office, Limited spaces.
  • Please pick up your shirt order form in ATHLETICS for the Salute to Service game vs Frontier November 3rd. Centennial and Frontier will leave it all on the field, in honor of our Active Duty Military and Veterans, for the first Annual Salute to service game. Show your support by wearing our red camo shirt.

ATHLETICS

  • JV Tennis released at 10:45am
  • XC meet for tomorrow is canceled
  • Tuesday the last 15 minutes of Lunch all girls softball will meet in room P4. The meeting is for reverse draw tickets, and start time for fall practice

ACTIVITIES 

  • Blood Drive is the 29th. Please return your paperwork ASAP so the committee can make your appointment times as spots are limited!

CLUBS

  • Today at lunch in room 1605 the Remnant Bible Club will be meeting to study the Bible. Bring your lunch and your Bible questions to this interesting and friendly club

FROM THE CAREER CENTER

  • Attention Juniors and Seniors: The Rep. from CSU Bakersfield will be on campus Monday Sept. 25th, 4th period only. Sign up now if interested in hearing the presentation.
  •  Learn the essentials of a winning UC Application at a free 2-part Application & Admissions Workshop series held at Bakersfield College. Part 1: The UC System will be  Sept. 23rd and Part 2: The UC Application will be October 28th. All seniors interested in submitting a solid UC application are welcome. Flyers are available in the Career Center with more information.
  • All students:  Show some college spirit every Wednesday by wearing your favorite college shirt or sweatshirt to school. On "Wear it Proud Wednesday,"  ask your teachers, counselors and friends about the college they are representing. 
  • The Christian College Fair is being held tonight, Sept. 21st from 6 - 8 pm at Bakersfield Christian High School. Admission is free.
  • A special presentation to hear about: The Ivy League College Application Process will be taking place at West High School on Oct. 19th from 6:00-8:00 pm. Flyers are available in the Career Center with more information.
  • Attention students: Attending a U.S. Service Academy is an excellent way for young people to obtain an education while preparing for a leadership role in service to our country. Congressman McCarthy is sponsoring a Service Academy Forum for interested students and parents, Saturday, September 23rd at the Kern County Board of Supervisors' Chambers. Flyers are available in the Career Center.
